- The year
- We have worked with the DfT to create a business plan for the next five years. The plan is driven by transformative change across the period of the plan following the delivery of the December 2025 timetable change, the new tri-mode trains announced in late 2023 and due to be in operation by 2028, introduction of Digital Signalling and delivery of further phases of our Simpler Fares scheme. The plan is underpinned by a continued focus on enabling efficiency and value for money within our cost base. We continue to look to create a plan that returns LNER to being a premium-paying train operating as soon as possible.
